Here are a few takeaways from the most recent IG report on Comey's handling of "his" memos, which confirm many of the rumors that predated it. Comey, CIA Director John Brennan, DNI James Clapper, and NSA Director Mike Rogers went to brief Trump on Russian interference on January 7, 2017, in Trump Tower. After the briefing, Brennan, Clapper, and Rogers leave the room, and Comey remains with Trump to alert him of the salacious claims in the Steele Dossier, presumably to gauge his reaction. He had the Crossfire Hurricane team waiting on a live video call, as well as an FBI laptop in the car to immediately take notes on Trump's reaction. All of this as Comey is telling Trump the FBI is not investigating him. You be the judge.
Yes, Comey did leak classified information. And here's some food for thought. Comey gave Hillary a pass (as he usurped power from the Justice Department) because she didn't "willfully" "intend" to mishandle classified information. On its face, that justification is absurd and an insult to the intelligence of every day Americans. How do you unwillingly or unintentionally go through the trouble of setting up a private email server? Further, did Comey unwillingly or unintentionally remove his 7 memos from his FBI office when he was fired? Did someone force him to leak it to his friend?
