Shouldn't we, as voters, the people who elected this president, have every right to know just who exactly it is that's compiled these inaccurate accusations against him? Doesn't this set a dangerous precedent for all presidents going forward, where all it takes to launch an impeachment inquiry is 2nd and 3rd hand accusations from any anonymous partisan working in the White House, whether they're accurate or not? Imagine for a second the roles were reversed. Imagine there was a whistleblower in the Obama White House that accused him of something illegal based on hearsay and an impeachment inquiry was launched because of it. Who do you think would be demanding to know the person's identity then?
