The media's endless efforts to damage the credibility of House Intel Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA), has snaked its way into the White House, now targeting Kash Patel, and Patel has decided to fight back with a defamation suit for $25,000,000.
Patel currently serves as a senior counterintelligence advisor to Trump on the White House National Security Council, and was formerly a staffer for Devin Nunes, working with the representative to unravel the web of Spygate.
The Politico article in question, titled, “Nunes Protege Fed Ukraine Info to Trump," was penned by noted spinmaster Natasha Bertrand. The article alleges Patel fed President Trump the information that contributed to the president's belief that Ukraine was corrupt, and had interfered in the 2016 election. That allegation is especially significant because those beliefs of the president are at the heart of the Democrat narrative over impeachment.
The irony is that Politico itself is actually the outlet that first reported on Ukrainian interference in the 2016, AND tied it to the DNC. In fact, that article probably has way more to do with President Trump's beliefs than Patel does, as the report has been picked up and paraded by conservative talking heads as proof the concerns Trump conveyed to Ukrainian President Zelenskyy were valid.
In Patel's suit, which seeks $25,000,000 (!!!) in damages, he claims Politico and Bertrand, along with Politico owner Robert Allbritton, acted in concert with Adam Schiff, his staff, and/or at the direction of Adam Schiff to leak testimony from Fiona hill and Lt. Col. Vindman to fabricate the story that Patel was feeding President Trump information on Ukraine.
The National Security Council, full of unelected bureaucrats with their own apparent ideas of America's foreign policy, seems to be at the crux of the impeachment effort. Two former NSC staffers now work for Adam Schiff, several of the witnesses thus far have been NSC staffers, and the whistleblower himself was a former NSC staffer who was apparently removed over leak concerns.
An apparent ally to Trump in Patel on the NSC, just cannot stand in the eyes of the Coup Crew. Like they've done to Jim Jordan, Devin Nunes and others, it appears that with the IG report on FISA abuse during the 2016 election looming on the horizon, anyone who has helped uncover the Spygate scandal over the last 3 years is in the crosshairs of the deep state. The credibility of the people who were right about Russian Collusion all along must be destroyed, and the media is doing their best to make it happen.
This suit bring much needed water to the seeds of transparency and hopefully shed light on Schiff's coordination with members of the media to advance his impeachment effort.
